How many teachers out there have had trouble getting kids interested in writing? I have in the past but one method that has worked is finding a book they really like and then telling them that they, too, could one day write a book like that, and that some writers make a good amount of money doing so. That has worked as an encouragement tool when it comes to writing fiction. Any other ideas out there?

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog! 1990 would have put us at Rum Runners at about the same time! David and I were going there from 1989 - 1991.
The last time we were in Pensacola, the building that served as our first meeting place had been demolished.
I wonder if we knew each other way back then?
Take care!
Becca
